The family brewery Ryžovna was created as it should be in life – out of love. Out of love for beer – as a traditional Czech drink – and out of love for the Ore Mountains, in the heart of which the now almost extinct settlement of Ryžovna is located. Less than a century ago it was a lively village with nearly 70 houses and its own brewery. It no longer stands here, but we chose one of the few surviving buildings – a former school – to continue the tradition of brewing beer in this picturesque corner on the very top of the mountains.
Just as carefully and patiently as our predecessors panned for tin ore here, we are now renovating and building so that our microbrewery can produce beer made with craft technology using only threshing malt, hops, water and yeast. And our brewery shalanda will be your favourite stop to relax over a pint of honest beer and a good meal. The Rice House, where you can let the history and contemporary charm of the surrounding beautiful nature influence you, is really worth a visit. The brewery operates as a so-called. “flying”. In the winter you will find warmth by the hot stove and in the summer you will find pleasant coolness in the cosy restaurant on the floor of our brewery. Here, in addition to the panoramic view of the entire Ryzovna, you can also enjoy the culinary skills of our chef. He will prepare for you not only traditional Erzgebirge dishes such as slippery dumplings or cabbage soup with dill, but also other delicacies from the cuisine of our grandmothers, but which do not lack modern flair.
